That’s A Wrap!

We’ve sold out of our first soapscription boxes!!! I can hardly believe the support and encouragement that we’ve been receiving from everyone on this new venture that we’ve started. All of the soaps are wrapped and the hand dipped beeswax candles that we had available are simply wrapped and waiting for the USPS regional rate boxes to show up at our door.

The specific boxes are one glitch that I didn’t foresee. I was planning to ship the boxes that we’d purchased for the soaps as they were, but the shipping program that we use requires a USPS box for regional rate delivery. Those boxes are only available by ordering online or sometimes at the larger post offices. Ours didn’t have any. It feels superfluous and a bit wasteful to have multiple boxes, but I suppose it’s a detail that we can workout or embrace in the future. Extra, Extra protection for the soaps, maybe? At least it isn’t going to be filled with a bunch of plastic bubble wrap. Small victories…

I still can’t believe that I’d tripled my original production in anticipation of added interest and I could have probably increased that number. That is something I really didn’t expect! But, I am so glad for this new beginning. I’ll make extra soaps for December’s boxes (new essential oils just arrived!!!) and I hope to have more soapscriptions available in the future. I am planning to set up a preorder link for those that weren’t able to subscribe this time and hope that we can continue to grow as best we can. Baby steps! We’re doing it!
