Fresh Honeycomb
Andy checked our beehives on the Ogeechee River earlier this week. He came home and handed me a super box full of 8 frames of freshly capped honeycomb. What to do with it all? I immediately pictured cheese and olives and the gorgeous comb on a platter. Surely some fancy restaurant or boutique has a better use for it than me, but as it sits on our counter and I cut pieces our for the boys when they ask for some honeycomb, I am reminded of how very rich we are. I’m also reminded that I love this beautiful life when I wipe sticky fingers and faces that are covered in raw honey and bit of wax.
